Book Review: Only Love is Real

Only love is realTitle: Only Love is Real
Author: Brian L. Weiss
Genre: Psychology, spirituality, metaphysics
Publication date: 1st April 1996

In Brian Weiss’s bestseller Many Lives, Many Masters, nearly one and a half million readers met Catherine. In a hypnotic trance, Dr. Weiss’s young patient summoned memories of many past lifetimes, demonstrated an astonishing ability to transmit transcendental messages, and turned the life of a respectable psychiatrist upside down.
Now Dr. Weiss takes his research one breathtaking step further. He portrays two strangers, Elizabeth and Pedro, who are unaware that they have been lovers throughout the long centuries — until fate brings them together again. He shows how each and every one of us has a soulmate whom we have loved in past incarnations and who waits to reunite with us now. And he opens up entirely new worlds for all of us everywhere, based on a single, powerful truth…

My impression:
For me this was the first book with such contents that I read. I actually didn’t expected to be this, but once started reading it, I had to finish it. The story of the 2 main characters was very interesting – their previous lives were so connected.
The fact that we have a soul is known, but the idea of being reborn in another life is yet not so much accepted. Or probably most of the people don’t believe in it. I’m not very sure what should I think about this possibility either, but I’m starting to believe somehow. There are many hidden truths in our life and existence.

All in all, this book is more science that the books I usually read. There are things in it that not every person will accept as a real thing, but I think if one has possibility to read it, just to do it!

Global note: 5 of 10
